Composition of the Assessments
The PUWER regulations can be broken into 2:
- “Hardware” Ergonomics the interaction between the person, their work and their work equipment, it includes the consideration of the individual’s physical and mental capabilities as well as their understanding of the job, i.e. everyday use, maintenance, inspections etc. (the focus of these assessments).
- “Software” Auditing, training, information and instructions CE markings, markings and warnings etc.
